Welcome to Iceland

Iceland

Explore the Elements. Experience the Freedom

Experience the raw beauty of Iceland by motorhome – where volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers, and geysers are just the beginning. Travelling by campervan allows you to connect with the landscape on your own terms, from the black sand beaches of the south to the wild fjords in the north.

Why Explore Iceland by Motorhome

An Iceland motorhome holiday gives you the freedom to travel at your pace through one of the world’s most dramatic and varied landscapes. Whether you're in a manual or automatic campervan, Iceland’s well-maintained roads make it easy to explore remote places and popular sites alike.

With wild camping permitted in many areas (when done respectfully), and a growing number of dedicated campsites, your campervan becomes your window to the wilderness. Sleep beside glacial rivers, wake to the sound of waterfalls, and experience the Northern Lights from your own doorstep.

Suggested Driving Itinerary – 1379 km Round Trip

Keflavik – Reykjavik – Akureyri – Hofn – Keflavik

Begin your Iceland campervan holiday itinerary at Keflavik Airport, just a short drive to Reykjavik. This small but lively capital offers an excellent first stop to get oriented. Climb Hallgrímskirkja Church for panoramic views, stroll the harbour, and sample traditional Icelandic food – including the notorious fermented shark.

Continue east towards Hvolsvollur, gateway to waterfalls like Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Curve along the south coast to Hofn, framed by glaciers and ocean views. Follow the quiet beauty of the Eastfjords toward Egilsstadir, before heading to Akureyri, the ‘capital of the north’. Your loop then descends via the dramatic western valleys and Hvalfjordur, before returning to Keflavik.
